It feels like spring with the latest round of new babies! Alexis is noticing babies everywhere and gets so excited saying “baby, baby” whenever she sees one - even when they are only a month or so younger than her. Alexis’s friend, Isabella, welcomed a new baby sister, Olivia, on May 21st. Parents, George & Alexandra, are settling into the routine of having two little princesses around the house.
And our friends, Natalie & Corbin welcomed a brother, Hudson, for daughter, Gwennie early Monday morning, June 8th.
Amazing another month is coming to a close. It has been a great month of visiting with friends and enjoying the nice weather. Alexis is walking more and more each day. It is so much fun to have her on two legs instead of four - of course all the clothes look so much better when she is upright and I always enjoy dressing her up.
We are very behind on posting pictures … but here are some fun ones from a very hot day yesterday .. in APRIL. Alexis has occasionally taken a few steps and I have one video here.
Baby Brady is here and we took a quick visit to meet him. He was born in the same hospital as Alexis, so it was strange to be there a year later and think how much has changed since then. Parrish is doing great and baby Brady has a good set of healthy lungs and all fingers, toes, and much more hair than his Daddy! Here are some pictures of the peanut.
By now many of you have probably heard of this story about two young men, John & Ace, who bought a Lion Cub, Christian, from Harrod’s department store in 1969 and then ultimately brought him to Africa to be rehabilitated to live in the wild as a head of his own Pride. I’m reading the book now and the pictures are so wonderful and of course we have always thought Tyler reminded us of a Lion. Here is the You Tube video of how Christian greeted his old friends when they went back to visit him in Africa in 1971.
It was crisp Saturday and we decided to head down to providence, rhode island and take Alexis for her first trip to the zoo. It was 40 degrees out so most of the animals were inside, but Alexis enjoyed it all the same. Click here for pics!
Wow … the year could not have gone by any faster! Alexis turned one last friday and we had about a week of celebrations with friends and family. Of course because her mommy, Addie, and Uncle Ed also clebrated that week there were many opportunities for cake and singing “Happy Birthday.”
One of her first words is “CAT” and she was thrilled to that her Uncle Jake brought his cat, Dakota, for the weekend. And since she has long loved Giraffes she had a special birthday dress with a little smocked giraffe on it that you will see in many pictures!
We took many many pictures & videos and they speak for themselves: To see her birthday album, click HERE. ENJOY!!!
We started out with a trip to the Bass Pro Shop at Patriot place with our friends Alex and Isabella. It was a frigid cold day making it a perfect reason to escape to a giant store filled with all sorts of stuffed animals, huge fish tank, and lots of hunting equipment and a pretty good restaurant for lunch. We had lots of great play dates with Alex and Isabella taking walks with the girls and then taking them to the New England Aquarium. Ryan and I also took Alexis to the New England Aquarium and she loved seeing the penguins. On the 16th after several weeks of a stuffy runny nose and irritablity I assumed to be teething related we went to the Doctor and found out she had her first ear infection. We started on amoxacillin and that weekend headed to Magic Mountain in Londonderry, Vermont. Alexis was still not feeling great and spent a good day with Grammy Carol while Addie, Ryan, and Marv went skiing. The weather was perfect and the snow even better - too bad none of us were in top skiing form - but we still enjoyed it! That night we had a lovely dinner at Three Clock and Alexis was very good. Addie started to lose her voice and a bad cold was underway. This last week in February Addie and Alexis holed up inside all week except for going to the doctor again on Wednesday when she broke out in a scary looking rash. Turned out she was allergic to amoxacillin and the ear infection was worse too! So .. new nasty tasting medicine we hope she is getting better. At least the rash is finally gone. From the pictures you will see various birthday gifts opened. It has been great fun and a wonderful distraction getting birthday presents in the mail in anticipation of her birthday. So crazy to think a year has gone by!
Check out this video from today - The first time she has ever “cruised” using the kitchen step stool:
Tyler’s full sister, Angie, had a litter of beautiful pupplies. The breeder, Kathy Kehoe, of Crangold Goldens in Charlotte, Vermont was kind enough to send us the video. The video was taken Friday, February 27th, in Charlotte where it was 50 degrees outside and the pups totally enjoyed it. Angie had a wonderful time playing with them as you can see. Since it was a very windy day and there are boarding dogs barking in the back ground - you may want to turn off the volume.
